Eastern AHEC’s Response to Coronavirus

In accordance with ECU guidance released February 28 and effective March 7, masks and face covering are optional in indoor settings as COVID-19 cases decline. Those who are more comfortable continuing to wear a mask indoors are welcome to do so. We will continue to limit capacity at our building and offer virtual options whenever possible.

We will continue to update our course catalog.

Previously we followed the CDC’s March 15 guidance to cancel or postpone events over 50 people over the next 8 weeks, as well as the president’s March 16 guidance to limit gatherings to 10 people over the next 15 days. Many of our staff our now working remotely. We are rescheduling programs, adjusting capacity, room arrangement, and/or delivery methods to allow for social distancing as much as possible.
